Board Fonts [Post #1]
I notice that if the "fonts" drop down menu is clicked, there is a selection of fonts available for usage on the board. I remember on CTP, discovering that there were a few fonts also supported by the board that actually weren't listed on the drop down menu. I'm wondering what's the full list of fonts supported by MS/VB boards.

I'm looking to make a post in a charrie journal and sometimes changing the font can make the layout interesting.

To be honest I have no idea where to look, as far as I know the ones listed in the menu are the ones available on this board

All fonts are available on every board, I believe. However it's best to stick with defaults as someone without a font in your post is just going to see an ugly replacement. Remember people with iPhones, Apple computers, older versions of windows, and Linux computers all look at your post. Try and go for compatibility.

They've got to have a font in their computer to see certain ones? Bugger. I think I might have an alternative though. If I couldn't use a particular font, I figure to perhaps copy the color of the postbit into Paint Shop and then use the font in there, host it on photobucket and then show it in the post. In that way, it'd be an image with the desired font. Downside is slightly extra work and there'd be a mismatch if the scheme gets changed, but I think I'll use that option.

That could work, but don't forget that peopl might not have wide screens. So if the image is 900px or such, with the other parts of the board being shown it might end up making the whole thing look weird.

Use transparent pngs if you want to do that, Codi. It'll mean that if the postbit colour changes the image will still probably fit in.

True. I'm not expecting the images to be too big though. Probably not that much wider than the size allowed for images used in siggies. Certainly taller, but not wider.

ETA: Still a PSP newbie for the most part, but I'll toy around and see if I can get that to work.

I've gone up to something like 620px before and it's okay on a screen that's 1024x768.

Transparent PNGs are probably you're best bet like Aod has said. I tend to use them for Journal titles and such.

That might be true Kieran but you have to keep in mind that it's not phone friendly to go over 500px wide
