So it was confirmed yesterday on Stephanie's official website that the host is going to be made into a movie. What do you all think about this? Did you like the book? Who are your dream cast for the film?

I'm pretty excited! I can't wait to see who they cast, and how they translate it! I loved The Host .

I'm personally not too sure how much I look forward to the book being made into a movie! When I read the book, I found the pace to be rather slow and draggy, although I suppose the director/script writers could easily just fast forward through the boring portions and go straight into the action. :p

As far as it being made into a movie, I don't have an opinion yet.

I have yet to read the book myself because I have been waiting to find other's who have. Would anyone suggest others to read it? Is it a good read that keeps you wanting to pick it up during all your down time?

I thought the Host was an excellent book, with a much more fascinating plot, and interesting characters, than Twilight. Even if you don't like sci-fi stories, you'll like this one. Kind of like how even if you don't like vampires, Twilight is still enjoyable.

I really need to read the book because I've yet to read it...actually I think I read a few pages but didn't get chance to finish, so I'm going to read it again, but I think it'll be interesting to see this made into a film, I know the basics of what it's about and I always thought it was interesting, so I'm sure this will be just as interesting. It'll be cool as well to find out who they cast for the parts.

That's been me, I've read a summary on it, and even the first chapter... But I just was not sure if it was worth the buy or not. It does sound interesting, but also came off as if it could be a bit complicated? I'm sure I will end up buying it regardless and reading it
