Pretty much. I'm on "day release" to college on a Tuesday (and it's full 9-5! Yesterday, I expected 9-3 or something easier).

Basically, I traded jobs, short story goes like this:
- Same/More hours, less money (new job, better long-term)
- Same hours, more money (old job, dead-end for future)

Before, I worked shifts (earliest start being 10am; latest about 12-2am). During that time, I did office work plus (the main job) of monthly/weekly accounts/invoices/wages. Really though, that job was freedom defined. :hehe: One week a month was generally paperwork heavy, the remaining weeks it was a case of chill out and not worry (easy life, yes, promotion-wise there wasn't a chance - small company where once you're doing all the work, there's nothing else to do). Add to that the office politics and it was not a nice place to be.

Now, I 'officially work' 9-5 Mon to Fri but am on call 24/7 (I'm in lettings/rentals now, so if a tenant wakes to find their house is on fire or the boiler broke, I get a call from them! Not a fun call. :shakehead: Even so, I still have all the paperwork to do from old job (I have a stack of files behind me that could be worked on but it's 07.40am and all I'm thinking is I need to wake up a little more, get ready and get out the door for new job). :(

All in all, work is killing me off - advice: do not get two jobs, with two different employers if you're the kind of person who doesn't like letting anyone down. Eventually, it will catch up with you and all you'll wanna do is scream and wish you were anywhere else in the world. :-p

Needless to say, when I'm totally fed up with work, I want to see MS as an escape not another load of obligations and duty. :nod: So yeah, when I'm tired the best plan is to stay away and just switch off, which I've learned in hindsight - because, as my other half delights in telling me, I'm the worst kind of aggravating when I'm tired. :rolleyes:

Here goes a long list of personal facts that I feel like I owe you guys. Those of you who have me on Facebook or Twitter might already know, although probably not since I mainly post there in Spanish.

First of all, I have been active in the boards, just in administrative/hidden threads, cause that's all get the inspiration to read, and after I am done with those I dont feel like reading anymore. My excuses to alllllll those I ower posts. Feel free to ignore my characters and going on with the threads without me (as most of you have already done :) )

Second, I see you guys are having fun with the Venom competition! Keep up the good work! And enjoy... and hell yeah, you dont even have to have a spell to change your characters gender! Get him/her there dressed up for that! Bring on the Drags! haha

Third, my home computer died... (thats why I am not in msn that much anymore) but mom brings a laptop from her work, and whenever she takes a break from playing that damned facebook bejeweled game I squeeze in some reading for promotions and such. Also, I use my blackberry to update twitter and fb... :) and read from the boards. But posting is not that good from there.

Fourth... he who was one of my best friend for four years died of aids this week... Doesn't have anything to do with what I am saying, but I just wanted to tell you guys that you have to get out there and give some love to your friends, because we never know how much time, or how little we have to tell them, and show them this.

Fifth... Congratulations to those that have been promoted and that have gotten new jobs here... (I am STILL job hunting in freaking real life, damn it they dont call!)...

(As you may have already noticed with this post my life isn't as good as I had planned it to be... but I am trying to move it forward... have some fun... etc.)

I totally sympathise with you on the job front! :-p It always (and will continue to) irritate me whenever I sent in applications and never heard anything back (at a choice of hearing nothing or receiving a standard rejection letter, I'd take the bad news over nothing at all). I can understand that they don't want to waste money on sending out rejection letters but still, you wonder why you can't get a little acknowledgement for your application to end the needless worry of "will I hear back, does this mean it's good or bad, etc." Good luck - to you & Kieran! :D

Yesterday, I had a dreadful working day. 12 hours, with 10-7 in one job and 7-10 in the office of my old job. Not pretty - those last three hours, I was practically counting down the minutes, it just dragged on and on! It's the curse of small companies.

And today I have college! 15 mins to go before I have to drive over there and all I want is to go back to my nice warm bed. :(

I know I am. Unfortunately I took a pay cut with the new job (by about 50%) and as such it's a combination of the fact that I'm too nice to refuse and that I need the money to explain why I volunteered to keep up with the old job. The only downside, is that I "left" the old job mid-July and there was no further contact until the end of August - which left a backlog of three months (the month prior to leaving and the two months up to now) where the paperwork just piled up. By the end of this week, I'll be caught up with the old job and I hope to have much more flexible hours (i.e. to work from home) with the new job by the end of October. And college is part of the new job, so while it is a necessity its absolutely dull & boring and not challenging in the least (I know all of it, it's just a case of having the qualification to "prove" it).

Short-term sacrifice, long-term gain! :-p

Phillip, I'm kinda unsure on your situation given the rules regarding having a char on both sides. However, your more than welcome to sign up before your character is approved, just note that you would simply be playing at trainee.

Until you reach a level of 2 on your current side, you cannot join both sides, you need to pick ONE. Please check both covens carefully before making this choice. Either side has a forum that is solely dedicated to giving you all the information you need. We kindly ask you to take the time to make yourself familiar with how each side runs. For ADA this forum is the Sinner's Sanctuary. For FGB please refer to the Ancient Scrolls. Once you have reached level 2 in your primary alignment, then you will be able to have a character on each side.
