Proclamation

Myths and legends do exist, buried within the Legion Circle, surrounding its creation, its meaning and its end. Few demons or cursed souls today study these myths or know much about their meaning. Some knowledge is floating around yet it usually presents itself in the guise of urban legends, kids’ stories to annoy others with or simple fairy tales. And yet, those who have seen more of the Legion Circle, maybe even have seen the things that came before will guard these myths believing that the truth hidden in them is still as strong, important and powerful as they were centuries ago.

The Great Twelve
If there ever existed a first true faction of the ADA it were the Great Twelve. These are said to be the twelve most powerful demons to have ever walked the earth of any dimension. They did not come together by their own will to create the faction but were chosen by an ancient calling, a great power lying dormant within demonic ranks. Some believe that to have been The Sire, others believe that this was one of the Archons.

The Great Twelve

The Black Table
The Black Table in itself is not only a myth but also an artefact. While it is told that it was destroyed when The Sire faded from existence, other rumours do tell that it still exists, hidden away in the deepest and farthest corners of the catacombs underneath the Legion Circle. It is a round table, twelve metres in diameter made from ancient wood which was drenched in blood and the River Styx’s water alternately so many times that its colour eventually turned black. It is said to have great magical energies stored in it. How to unleash those – even if the table’s ever recovered – no one knows.

The Sire
Maker of Magic - This myth ranges around a figure usually referred to as the Sire. It is a creature void of gender, even if today the Sire’s mostly referred to as male. There are many names for him derived from this story; only few know the true origin of his existence. As the Archons once cast out the tainted humans into a hell dimension to protect their creation, the Sire was the spark existing between those cast into hell. He was the embodied will and desire of those exiled to return and reclaim what once was their world. It was his existence that is believed to have bestowed magnificent powers on those hellbound.

His form is one shrouded in darkness even in the brightest of lights; making it impossible to tell anything as mundane as gender, facial feature or even figure. He wields great skills, being the patron of those who’d later become the Dark Apothecarians. His customary place was to be seated on a Black Table among the Great Twelve. His artefact was a grey rune, made of a hardwood, with the Hebrew word for Endlessness carved into it.

He faded from existence when the Warlords assumed power, no longer needing to drive the hellbound forward in their plan to reclaim what was rightfully theirs.
