And it's sunday again! That means a new meeting, and since we don't have a sum up yet from previous meeting I'm just going to entertain you with something else until we do have a summary (pokes René silently)

:viking:
"SUMMARY!"

And on another note, we, as in the Guides and Warlords, have decided to put War Tactics on an indefinite hiatus for now. So you don't have to apply for a WT job anymore but we still have many other shiny jobs left of course ;)

Wanted to say that in the old Meeting but it was closed

Congratulations to Nick and Mike!! So well deserved!!!!

Subversive Beauty
05-25-2008, 12:43 PM
:) 'course it was closed. Meetings always end with promotions. At least, they always did. :-p I think the mid-meeting promos from the 'first' one were just a special treat.

Thor
05-25-2008, 02:27 PM
Kate is right ;) That was a special occasion and now we're back to the old ways and promo's will always be at the end of the meeting except for job announcements end every other kind will be done during the meeting if its still open and if not than it will be in the first post of the new meeting

Sobriquet
05-25-2008, 02:31 PM
SO that means that fi there are say three promotions during the week, they'll all be announced together?

Thor
05-25-2008, 02:51 PM
Yup they will and they will all be at the end in the last post of the meeting ;)

Sobriquet
05-25-2008, 02:53 PM
Cool, I suspected that was what you meant :). Oh, and congrats to Mike, Nick and Nate on their promotions :). I'd just remembered I hadn't said that yet :-p

Wanderlust
05-25-2008, 02:57 PM
Yup they will and they will all be at the end in the last post of the meeting ;)You guys love to tease us up 'till the very end. :-p Nice summary by the way.

Congrats with the new job Todd!

Anyways, it's my fault that there is no meeting summary and since I'm starting my exams I doubt I'll have the time do one any time soon. So basically, if anyone wants to do meeting summaries, apply! :-p

Vingt-Trois
05-25-2008, 06:47 PM
Congrats, Todd! (Y)

See, another new job Rene's offering! *pokes people* :D

Thor
05-25-2008, 06:52 PM
You could always apply for the job Corni :-p

Nefertiti
05-25-2008, 06:54 PM
Really? Wouldn't that be weird? XD *doesn't know Guides could hold ADA jobs*

I'm already pretty busy though these days. Not sure I should handle another job :-p I shall think about it :chin:

Vingt-Trois
05-25-2008, 07:01 PM
I have a FGB job. :e:p Hmmm... :chin:

*plants a trail of Ellen's cookies towards the Rave and Hell's Gates* :)

I have a few jobs that I'm eyeing except... *coughAfterIApplyTheJobIsPutOnHiatuscough*

Ramses
05-25-2008, 07:26 PM
*Eats the cookie trail planted by Nick so that no one else watches Ramses die in three posts.*

Congratulations to the new Warlords! And Todd for his new job!

Thor
05-25-2008, 07:35 PM
Sure Corni why not? Go ahead and apply :D

And george that was just random coincidence :-p

Vingt-Trois

Ramses gave Lucien a magical kick to the balls, except even worse, Jose. :e:p

Is anyone else going to follow the magically delicious trail? :elol:

Iron Man
05-25-2008, 07:57 PM
I will! :D If you write this paper for me *growls* :(

Thor
05-25-2008, 08:14 PM
Izzy is already in Rave :chin:

Amethyst

Can I bring the PA and all other Codi's ideas to the meeting, because I think its interesting. :$

As far as I see it, I dont think there is a problem if level 1 copies others powers like RW. The change only lasts 1 post and thats it  What damage can it do to others? Plus, a person who has RW is level 6 so I am positive he/she will find many ways to stop level 1 from touching them, therefore copy the power.

I dont think its a good idea to limit power copying only to the powers that have a level 1 power table, because from my point of view the damage that level 1 can do copying a power is minimum. Ok, level 1 copies Illusions and casts an illusion. So? It will only last 1 post.

Cardinal Sin
05-25-2008, 10:18 PM
Ok have to correct my post about the copying / stealing of powers  You do lower the effect (which still renders some powers useless at lv1 or even 2 :-p). And it does make sense concerning Aging / Eok - since you'd lose the power when dropped in levels which would be v. unfair. So yeah. Hope that's cleared up now. :-p

:-p

Yeah, so basically you can copy powers that are above your level.

Amethyst
05-25-2008, 10:22 PM
Thanx for clearing that up as I got confused with all the discussion going on :-p

Subversive Beauty
05-25-2008, 10:58 PM
I will! :D If you write this paper for me *growls* :(

You still have that empty thread with me, Miss Lady.

And oh no! Ramses is dying somewhere? :'(

Yes, must get more activity in the Underground Rave. There were a bunch of peeps, but they either stopped posting or left. :( Looked like it was really gonna get going for a bit.

Oh and for a bit of amusement, go to the Sinner's Sanctuary and check out the viewcount for the Premise, just don't click on it. :-p

Subversive Beauty
05-25-2008, 11:03 PM
:rotfl: Ok, no one is allowed to read The Premise ever again!

:shifty: I'd rejoin the Rave, but I'm pressed for time when it comes to posting as it is. It's why I left in the first place. I just can't keep up the way I used to. But oh, how I miss the days where we'd fill like 10 pages in a night.

Iron Man
05-25-2008, 11:35 PM
Amen on that, Kate. Then again it took me till 1.30 am to finish the brunt of this paper cuz I'd keep sneaking back onto MS :-p But y'all just be happy I am notoriously busy with more things than I should be or you'd all hate me cuz you couldn't keep up with me :-p

Tipsy Kitty
05-25-2008, 11:41 PM
666 on the premise. Nice. If only there were a way to freeze the viewcount :-p

LOL Chrissie. But I do know how you feel, I have precisely 3 hours 20 minutes to write this paper... and instead of starting it I'm lurking here... Sometimes I think I ought to have a computer with no internet access on which to write my papers. It's too much of a distraction!

Sometimes I think I ought to have a computer with no internet access on which to write my papers. It's too much of a distraction! MS is just evil that way!!! I spent like over an hour here before digging into this stupid paper. Takes so long to just go grrrrr and get moving when there are so many funner things to do. And I hear ya on the internet thing, then again I need the internet for most of my work. It's a vicious circle!

I know! I promised myself I'd start writing at 9am, and it's currently 9.50am... And now I'm staring at the questions and I just can't get the first words out. Haha, it is a vicious cycle! I need the internet for research etc, but it does distract me so. Not to mention that last time I wrote a big paper the day it was due like this I kept updating my facebook with my word count (and how much I had left to do) haha.

PS my fingertips still smell like garlic from cooking last night's dinner *twitch* that's distracting too. I keep wanting to go scrub my hands some more.

I *almost* clicked on the Premise before checking what the fuss on this page was all about. XD

Me either, George. I love being able to post! Except that I'm staying up till 4 in the morning and lurking and posting around, which is not so healthy. :-p

Thor

It's to friggin early to be up *yawns* evil work, but only 6 more weeks to go before I have summer holiday :D

Givenchy
05-26-2008, 07:43 AM
I definitely do not miss school. :( So glad that I'm done with my first year, now it's only going to get harder. :-p But I'll enjoy my summer vacation for now. :-p

Nick, I know exactly what you mean. Then again, I've never had a normal sleeping schedule. xD But at least now I can wake up whenever. :-p

Ellen, going anywhere for summer holiday or just kicking back and relaxing? :-p

Thor
05-26-2008, 07:49 AM
Nope I'm probably going to stay home for 8 weeks and do nothing but download and surf the net :D

Givenchy
05-26-2008, 08:17 AM
That's totally what I'll be doing my vacation. :-p I mean, I'm sure a lot will come up this summer, but being back on Long Island just gives me nothing to do. Which is why I'm the hunt to find a job in Manhattan, so I can be there like everyday with a reason. Luckily, I have a job interview for a position doing catalog work for Marc Jacobs.

But yeah, now you can chat with me all summer, Ellen. xD

Thor
05-26-2008, 08:19 AM
oh noes!! :-p

05-26-2008, 08:28 AM

Amethyst
05-26-2008, 10:28 PM
Clonergy reminds me of George Clooney for some weird reason. Anybody knows why?? :chin:

Thor
05-26-2008, 10:36 PM
if it means we can use that power to clone us a George Clooney then yeah I know why :-p

Vingt-Trois
05-27-2008, 04:00 AM
That wouldn't be too bad of an idea. :-p

If you have not step foot into the Rave yet, go now ..!! Or no promotion ..!!! I can do that, right? (A)

Hush
05-27-2008, 04:05 AM
Alright folks!

Currently, GM10 is a bit bare. We're taking sign-ups to hopefully fill in the mission and go ahead and get it off the ground, so get to signing up! Okay? Okay! The sign-up thread is right here (http://www.midnight-shadows.org/showthread.php?t=4479)!

Thank you, and goodnight. :-p

Subversive Beauty

Stereo Love

Stereo Love
05-29-2008, 11:11 AM
Meh, I'm not for Hellfire at the moment, I'm strictly Legion activities until I get my money and then get my laptop. :(

I've been wanting to ask about Sekhmet's gifts and when the tournament for Rene's gift will happen? Also with Lea and Ste MIA, what happens with their gifts, as I'm wondering on challenging an owner. :-p

Thor
05-29-2008, 11:51 AM
Ok it's that time of the week again. This meeting is closed. Kie check the arena forum, both Lea and Ste are already being challenged for their gifts and the ring of Horus will be up for grabs soon.
