Supernatural is an American paranormal drama television series that debuted on September 13, 2005 on the WB, and is now part of The CW's lineup, where the second season premiered on September 28, 2006.

The show follows brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, who travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala investigating and combatting paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences, many of them based on American urban legends and folklore as well as classic supernatural creatures such as vampires and ghosts.

I am seriously addicted to this show. The Winchester boys have me hooked to my TV every Thursday night. I loved Season One and I think Season Two is turning out to be even more exciting than the first... this show has taken a concept of the supernatural and ghost/folk lore and turned it into something amazing... beyond amazing even.

To make it better there's humour and brotherly moments and all that in all the right places!

I list the Chevy Impala as my second favourite character - because first tips between Dean and Sam depending upon the episode! ^___^ I've always had a love affair with the Chevy Impala anyways, even before this television show started ^___^

So, share in the loving all!

I love this show. I didn't watch much of the first season, but I'm really loving the second season.

Dean is my all time favourite brother. He's just perfect. I love his humour and slightly dark side. Sam is just as good, but at little too whiney for me.

I love the storyline with Sam at the minute. Its becoming very interesting! I also love Dean's new potential love interest. I'm glad the writters are taking that slow. It seems to be working for the show :)

First season has only just managed to come out in backwards country over here, but I'm loving it anyway. Love the car, love the boys and the storyline. Probably gonna avoid this thread so I don't get spoiled!

OMG Supernatural I love it, I love it more than anything, I just wish they'd go into the Sam storyline already in season 2, keep getting random eps. I want to see mythology of the demon and his kids not a spoofish episode about anal probing and super powered half naked chicks.

As much as the spoof/jokes episode amused me - and now we've had one for both seasons I would have preferred moving on with the plot too. Then again, at the same time I love the supense the show is building up too. I mean, the searching for their father plot was amazing, and now Sam's is too... and we keep getitng more twists and turns and all then we become more and more anxious...

oh life is grand. ^___^

... not a spoofish episode about anal probing and super powered half naked chicks. But DAMN! The episode was so damn hilarious. I laughed so hard. I thought it was really well written, especially in terms of showing that those two boys actually can be your average two brothers. And that episode was so much better than Roadkill concerning the character / relation between those two. Roadkill was a darn good idea, but the writer absolutely didn't put in much time for any of Dean's normal lines (where the bloody hell was all the snark?) and the brotherly-scenes were lacking too :chin:

I thought the spoof episode was great too. Dean's versions were hillarious. I loved how he made Sam all emotional lol And Sam was great in that scene with Dean and the cookies, were he kept showing Dean just putting more and more food in his mouth, and Dean was like 'I only had one' lol

This is one of my fave shows at the moment. I totally love Jenson :D

I liked the spoof episode as it was nice to see the way the guys interacted, in terms of the main storyline it wasn't great but it gave us a chance to see how the boys saw each other.

This show is amazing.

I watched the entire first season and was quite frankly hooked. I wish they would kind of change the time because it's on right with Grey's Anatomy and that is just painful to miss. I don't see how this could have happened most of my shows have their own nights.

I've caught most of the second season although much has been missed. I have finally came up with an idea which is quite brilliant. I've decided to tune in for this show when it's on and try and catch the GA re-run the very next night. It should work. :D

Wait, the new girl has a name? When did this happen? I don't remember there being a formal introduction. o.o

Hee, she seems like she'll be the kickass type of chick. And what the hell is up with her knife?! My friend Andy and I have some theories about that thing, but they're only theories.

By the way, Lust was hot! *drools*

Wait, the new girl has a name? When did this happen? I don't remember there being a formal introduction. o.o Whoops. Erm ... that's the name they listed on ... I think it was tv.com. I pretty much stayed away from all / most spoilers, but when checking something on there or on IMDB I found her. Hope I didn't spoil you now.

Hee, she seems like she'll be the kickass type of chick. And what the hell is up with her knife?! My friend Andy and I have some theories about that thing, but they're only theories. Definitely the kickass chick. I wonder what exactly her intentions are though. Seems a hunter alright, and one to reckon with, too. And that knife seems like "Cold 2.0" ... not too impressed by that idea so far.

What's the theories on the knife? (if they're spoilerfree :-p)

By the way, Lust was hot! *drools* My favourite would have been Pride. The dude rocked so hard I almost fell over. Facial expression and attitude down so well! If there is a demon spreading Pride as sin, it would definitely act like that guy

Noyoki
10-09-2007, 11:02 AM
Oh, yes, Pride was definitely my favorite. But Lust was still incredibly hot. ^^;

Yeah, the theories are spoiler free. I always stay away from spoilers if I can. But our main theory is that the girl is either a reformed demon, or the knife is a demon blade and she stole it from a demon. Because, honestly, I agree with Bobby: there is no human blade that can kill a demon like that thing can.

One of the biggest Supernatural fans...*points at self*. I go crazy not being able to see the show till the end of the month. I'm so addicted to it that I really want it to come back! And since you guys are talking about spoilers, I stay away from them like they have the plague. Lots of sites have those annoying sides put up and it ruins the point of watching the episode if you know exactly what is going to happen. I don't get why people want to read those things. :p

And my love for Bobby is never ending. That man is hilarious! He cracks me up with his facial expressions, especially when the boys get all weird on him. And of course, Jensen Ackles/Dean Winchester is my hero. Would I do anything for him? Yes siree.....anything! *lmao*

So far s3, for me, has ruled! I cannot wait for the new eps, in April I think.

I was behind but I watched every ep, 1-13, in a day just to realize there wouldn't be new ones until they are written and filmed and stuff.

Ruby is the best! Especially on the witch episode! I love her 'demon killing dagger' and how she practically threatens the surrounding demons in ep 13. And she's funny. "Anyone got a breath mint? Guts spurted down my mouth while I was killing my way in here."

Mystery Spot was so god damn funny! I couldn't stop laughing at the different deaths Dean had but the ending was soo sad.

Bela, is great! Always pulling one over on Dean, and Sam's sex dreams!

Ruby is just serious love. Her character is love. Seriously, kill Bela today, but please keep Ruby around. I lofe her! The way her character works is just so amazing. It what amazes me even more is how I see fangirls of SPN (back and forth, no matter where I go) just love her is just great :D

She doesnt work on opposing the boys, she works on her own. And that's where she's miles ahead of Bela. She works on a level as dramatic as Dean does in S3. Subtle, still doing her thing, but subtle ... she's not out there in your face with her angst. She does her thing, and she does it despite the Winchesters. Seriously, how can you NOT love?

*Points up* *Is listening to the recap song from 1x21* Awesome song.

Practically my whole point of Ruby. I have listened to many SPN podcasts [my obsession] and a lot of people don't like Ruby becuase she is separating Sam from Dean, and it's like, it;'s inevitable. Ruby said it herself that she can't help Dean.

Ever since I found out how Dean got his ever wearing amulet I want to know why it's so special!

And yes.. Kills Bela! She's funny but not crucially necessary to the show unless we all want to see Dean pissed off all of the time.

ETA: My theory on the Amulet form Bobby to Sam to Dean... maybe it can save him? Because the s4 thing would hint Dean being there. I don't know, I'm reaching I guess.

Be warned! Storyline talk here!

Madison in Eugene, Ore.: What's the latest on Jared and Jensen on Supernatural?

Let's just say that if you happen to look like these dreamy dudes above (and God bless you for it), you should contact the CW right away, because I'm hearing that yes, you guessed it! There just might be a third freaking Winchester brother out there. Hear that? It's the sound of my mind exploding! I'm told that the possible third brother has not been cast, but we'll start hearing rumblings of another son courtesy of Dean and Sam's father John Winchester, aka Jeffrey Dean Morgan, this season. Seriously, does that dead dude get around or what?! Meanwhile, I'm dying to know what you think of this twist and if anyone out there could possibly be delicious enough to pull off the same genetic code as Jensen and Jared. So please comment below, and if you have any casting suggestions, bring 'em!

Just watched the lastest episode and have to say its got to be one of my favorites, I just loved the angle and plot.

The spoiler above, I hate that storyline so damn much its been done to death. I'll cry if they go ahead with that, it just ruins the shows perfect history and makes the show far too tacky.

Iron Man

*stays away from the spoilers*

Last week's episode was good. I loved the angle! But for some odd reason, SPN doesn't quite move me as much as it used to in S1 and S2 ... S3 was still sorta ok-ish but in S4 I am really getting the feeling that the show's losing its touch. I keep blaming it on how the family angle is more and more reduced to the brotherly angle only. Not that JA and JP don't rock my socks of playing this stuff, but with daddy around, mommy as a storyline etc ... the YED and even Meg, things used to be more personal. Now the angle just keeps going wider and wider, and we're thrown into the epic hell vs. heaven battle ... and it's almost like the guys get lost in between?!

Kripke should refocus his camera to the two leads that made this show big. Bigger storylines don't mean bigger shows ... And I am not dissing SPN. I still love the show but I can't help feel that it's no longer what it used to be.

On a whole different note. Kim Manners, director and producer, passed recently! So sad! He was my favourite director on the show! Made some awesome episodes.

Yes I watched season 1,2&3 under less then a week (I didn't watch on the weekend, was busy) and I can't really understand what so many people had against Bela? I wonder where the story will go without Kripke at the helm. I mean Sera Gamble's been on the team since the very beginning but I am still worried. I mean, back then when Constance M. Burge left Charmed after S3 the entire show kinda lost a lot of what made it what it was (for example the heavier sister-angle over the witch-angle). I do hope that SPN isn't facing a similar fate, because that show is nothing without the Brother / Family angle. Oh and I totally hope no one is going to have the craptastic idea to introduce yet another brother (that story worked exactly once, and once only) or bring daddy or mommy back.

I guess what I'd love to see the most would be going back to weekly demons like back in S1. Normalcy returning and the brothers dealing with what happened, like the existence angels, god and the damn apocalypse. I mean what happens to faith when it's no longer a belief but knowledge. :chin:

I'm both glad and worried that the show has been renewed for a 6th season. Glad because I do love the series, but worried because I'm not sure where else the story can lead to after the show is done with the current season's apocalypse plotline. I haven't really loved season 5 all that much because both Dean and Sam seem to be constantly in an emo-state. Much prefer the earlier seasons when both brothers still had their individual characters!

I have to agree with you Bing :chin: It feels like it's the same thing this season, over and over and over again. Always telling us what we already know: Sam's angry, Dean's desperate. I mean, I get why. Times are bad, everything is literally appearing to go to hell and it's the one thing they don't want which becomes more and more inevitable ... but in the end, it's the same thing every episode, and even Jensen Ackles can't work the heart-breaking angle in so many different ways that you don't start feeling you're stuck in a loop :chin:

But whats up with all the breaks in the season? I can't get a new eppie till March 25th! We already had a break over the holidays, is there a reason for this one too? Ummm, there's always been breaks. There need to be breaks, tbh, because otherwise they wouldn't be able to make 22 episodes last from October till April. Simple maths.

And I watched the two previous episodes back to back yesterday and must say I rather enjoyed it. I liked the turn-around they had Dean pull in Point of No Return (and I gotta say I loved Adam in it for some odd reason). Zachariah rocked bloody socks! He was so deliciously hateable it was mind blowing. He totally stole every scene he was in. The whole twist they had going on was amazing. And Castiel cracking it with Dean? Floored me. :D

As a follower for that, Hammer of the Gods was great. It took the edge of at first, adding a bit of fun after a rather heavy episode. Only to then do a complete turn back in on itself and dish out the next episode of "epic angel battling". Though I am very sad to see you-know-who go! It was always great to see him on the show and I've grown fond of the character :(

Kripke's done his best to blow the angles wide open again, with adding Adam into the mix (and the existing albeit weak option for him to be Michael's vessel) and with the death-toll on the angel side which IMHO help show that things are really heating up. Definitely looking forward what they come up with next :D

Ok, so the new season is out and for those who haven't seen it I'll wrap my comments in spoiler tags. Contains numerous happenings from S6 E1&2.

So, Deans turned practically into his father. OK, so he's not training Ben to be a hunter but he is trapping the boy and treating them how he and Sam were raised. Boring much? I like seeing the different side of him, and the personal battles he was fighting, but it gold old real fast.

Sam and Samuel were both, weird for want of a better word. I don't really like either of them this season, nor the way that the whole Campbell family has been treating Dead. I was so hoping halfway through Ep 2 that Dean would kick the guys ***.

Then there's this whole Alpha thing. I actually really like the arc they've created that every monster has a beginning one stronger than the rest. Looking forward to seeing where they are going with this, and who Samuel was on the phone to at the end of ep 2.

Okay here are my thoughts...
I'm not really keen on the idea that Sam, Samuel and the Campbell family appear and have been working together for a while without letting Dean know. They are after all HIS family, him and Sam are brothers FFS! I'm not sure what the writers are going for this season, but they need to top last year's plot if they want to keep this show going and not lost all of it's viewers. I'm curious as to who Samuel was talking to at the end of 6x02. I was thinking that it'd either be someone wanting to use the demons, monsters and such to maybe use them to create something, a super monster or perhaps a super hunter. I kind of got the feeling of the initiative and the potentials from the BtvS plotlines. I don't know why but um yeah. Anyways, I'm liking that Lisa told Dean to go and that he didn't have to have a 'either/or' decision. I do hope Lisa becomes a hunter, it would put Dean's mind at ease in protecting herself and Ben when he's away.

What the hell is up with Sam?! Either he's gone all evil from the demon blood he had to have before taking on Lucifer or something else all together. I loved how Dean coped with the hunger and omg poor Lisa and Ben, I hated that Dean scared them. But it did show them that being a hunter's family can be very dangerous and scary. I want to know what the hell is up with all the Alpha's, could it be that the hunters are looking to destroy the 'monsters' to make some kind of monster-free world? I'm not sure, but either way this season is somewhat turning out to be okay.

Well after the last episode it's clear that something's definitely off with Sam and that's going to be part of the story arch. You got NO clue how relieved I am about that. It makes things ok again, and I can watch this now without wincing or being utterly bored by the non-existent relationship between the brothers - because let's face it, it's currently NOT there. This in the light of Sera Gamble once saying that this season is to focus on family again, makes this turn of events VERY interesting IMHO.

I think these first few episodes are the Kripke-less team testing the waters and building a new ground for them to continue on after the finish of S5 which - let's face it - can barely be topped. I mean, there is no bigger bad than the devil. The alpha-angle sets up something different, and the fact that "we [the hunters] don't scare them anymore" definitely creates a world that's once more ... scary (because SPN needs the world to be scary if hunters as a concept is to work - AND *inhales* after you beat the devil himself, it's hard to make a world scary again :-p). Anyway, being utterly disappointed after watching the first episode, I think I like where things are heading after all. Gamble's not trying for an even bigger storyline (because she's probably smart enough to know there ain't one), she's going for different and thereby resets the playing field to bring her own angle into this. I am impressed and definitely am looking forward to more.

I agree with Chrissie. After the first two episodes I was wondering if I was even going to bother watching this season. Now though the episodes are improving, a story arch is starting to appear and I'm rather liking it. I loved the fourth episode, it was nice to see inside Bobby's life even if only for one episode. I'm glad that we're starting to see that something is wrong with Sam, like Chrissie said it explains the lack of relationship between Sam and Dean.

Having watched the latest episode and finding out the deal with both Sam, and the alpha's I have to say I'm a big Sam fan again. I went off him for a while, but now I really love how they have managed to create another arc big enough to be completly different from the apocolypse. This really is shaping up to actually be a good season!

*double posts*

So... episode 15 was, IMO one of the worst I have ever watched. I just hated all of it, and the fact that Im not up on gossip means I have to ask, were JA and JP not talking for a while in RL?

Season 16 was better.. interesting and better. I do love the storyline, but I think it is definantly evident that there is a different person behind the scenes.

Anyone know if there has been a confirmation of a 7th season? Google isn't my friend today. :(

It is confirmed and will be returning: CW Blog (http://blog.cwtv.com/2011/05/19/the-cw-announces-2011-2012-schedule/) including the list for the new Fall season.

Supernatural info - it may or may not contain spoilers, I have no idea but it does mention a few events from S6 and also what to expect from S7, so it's behind the tags just in case:
Returning for its seventh season, this haunting series follows Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers bound by tragedy and blood to the one thing that runs through both their veins − hunting monsters. This past season, Dean and Sam faced insurmountable obstacles: Sam returned from Hell without his soul, and Dean risked everything to get it back for him. The power struggle between good and evil raged on, with the new King of Hell, Crowley, ultimately emerging as their adversary. Shockingly, Crowley had made a secret deal with Sam and Dean’s closest friend, the angel Castiel, who is now a desperate freedom fighter on the losing side of a post-Apocalyptic civil war in Heaven; together, the uneasy allies sought to open a door to Purgatory, where a great untapped well of souls lie waiting to be used as the ultimate form of military power. Sam and Dean reeled from the betrayal by their friend — and raced to stop the angel and demon before they opened that dangerous, otherworldly door. Now, in season seven, the Winchesters will find themselves in an increasingly sinister, changing landscape, up against a new foe unlike anything they’ve ever fought. They’ll find their old tricks, weapons and hiding places all rendered useless. All they’ll have is each other. And the certainty that, like the last of the cowboy outlaws, whatever they face, they’re not going down without a fight. The series stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester, Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester and Misha Collins as Castiel. SUPERNATURAL is from Warner Bros. Television in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, with executive producers McG (“Charlie’s Angels,” “The O.C.”), Robert Singer (“Midnight Caller”), Sera Gamble and Phil Sgriccia.
