The Conclaves
Guidelines
Here's a quick list of Dos and Don'ts regarding FGB's Guides' Conclaves. It covers generally what you might find yourself doing in a conclave or two. This is to ensure that everyone's experience, while visiting a particular conclave, is a positive yet enjoyable one. Please remember you must also keep in mind what the The Shadow Enrichdion [Rules & FAQ] (http://www.midnight-shadows.org/announcement.php?f=148) entails.
DO ask WWD-related questions whether your question focuses primarily on Grudge Matches, ADA, anything WWD related.
DON'T be afraid to post in any of the Guides' Conclaves. Everyone is welcomed to post, just as long as you keep in mind what is expected of you when you do post. If you don't feel comfortable asking a question in a particular Guide's office, then you may PM a member.
DO remember if you will be gone for a certain amount of days, be sure to utilize the Leave of Absence thread notifying when you will be gone, how long, and the name of your Guide. Make sure you notify your Guide as well to avoid any confusion.
DO know the differences between opinion and personal attacks.
DO take any issues, arguments, etc. that you may have with a particular person to PMs or any sort of instant messenger service.
DON'T double post; edit your original/prior message.
DON'T use all-caps or distorted text in your posts such as: My NaMe iS BoB.
DON'T only post smilies, singular or plural, in the content of your post. You must have something of substance to say yourself.
DON'T spam. The extent of what kind, how much, and such all depends on each Guide. The following is an example of spam:
Jane: Hi Jean! How's you?
Jean: Good. And you?
Jane: Fine...
Jean: Whatcha doin'?
Jane: BRB. I gotta go eat.
Jean: I'm bored...
Jane: I'm back!
DO use proper spelling, capitalization, punctuation, spacing, et cetera. As long as everyone is able to read and understand your posts, then you should be fine.
DO take any Guide warnings seriously.
Ultimately, the level of chat allowed in a particular Guide's Conclave is up to that Guide.
If a Guide catches anyone breaking the said list above, any Guide is inclined to give out warnings. These warnings will be logged and kept track of. If you receive a total of three warnings, then you will automatically be suspended from the Guides' Offices pending further notice. With that said, carry on!
